A coach, a physician and a lifelong athlete
I'm Robert Clinton, MD, a family physician and Army veteran. I've coached youth sports in Wilmington with i9 Sports and Halo Hoops, and I coached my own kids in baseball, football and wrestling.
Sports have been part of my whole life. At Wheaton College I competed in track and field, including the decathlon and javelin, and I still hold the school's javelin record from 1992. I played semi-pro football with the DuPage Eagles, who won a national championship. In parafencing, I won a national championship and represented the US at a World Cup. In track and field, I won gold medals in all six of my events at the World Masters Games in New Zealand, and I medaled in the shot put, discus and javelin at a World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Paris. As a physician I've also worked ringside at fights. And I'm still training: my goal is to compete at the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.
I built Coressence Coach because good coaching shouldn't depend on where you live or what you can pay. Every athlete deserves clear instruction, smart training for their sport and a coach who can see what they're doing and help them fix it. This app puts that in one place, for kids and adults alike, with parents in the loop.
